SENIOR QA TESTER (CONTRACT)

Under the guidance of the Lead QA, the Senior QA Tester will collaborate closely to implement the QA strategy in alignment with our company values and product objectives.

This is an autonomous role where the individual will address testing requirements, ensuring a seamless testing process. They will deliver an optimal user experience for our target audience, as well as deputising for the Lead QA when required.

You will play a pivotal role in upholding the quality standards across all facets of the game. This encompasses overseeing risk assessments and mitigation strategies, ensuring comprehensive test coverage, and meticulously managing bug tracking and quality for designated areas.

As a key member of the development team, you will actively collaborate within the development team to ensure effective QA coverage and high-quality feedback across all work streams and champion a strong quality assurance culture at Formation Games.

This role is hands-on, with the potential for conversion to full-time with opportunities for career progression over time and with a focus on developing you into a leader at an exciting start-up games studio.

    • 3+ years experience of QA in the games industry; mobile and live-service experience is preferable

    • Strong understanding of games industry development processes and agile methodologies

    • Experience of working with external QA partners

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

    • Proficiency with bug database management (e.g. Jira or equivalent), test case management tools and build distribution management systems


      Nice to have but not essential:

    • Experience in leading teams

    • Passion for football or sport and an understanding of sporting systems and structures

    • An interest in developing engineering, production or UI/UX design skills over time

    • Bring new capabilities and different perspectives to our existing team

  • UK based, ability to come into our London Office regularly and upon request.

  • Regular hours to maximise collaboration with the team.
